Douglas Murray is a British author and political commentator. He is associate editor of The Spectator and a columnist for The Free Press, and sits on the advisory board of the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship, speaking at its 2025 conference. He was formerly associate director of the Henry Jackson Society. Murray is best known for his 2017 book The Strange Death of Europe, which argues that mass immigration - particularly from Muslim-majority countries - is destroying European civilisation, and is a prominent international defenders of Israel's military campaign in Gaza. He is listed as a director of the Free Speech Union's legal entity, though the FSU's operational director is Toby Young.
