Isabel Oakeshott

Person

Isabel Oakeshott is a political journalist who serves as International Editor at Talk and is engaged to Reform deputy leader and MP Richard Tice. She was previously Political Editor of the Sunday Times and then Political Editor-at-Large of the Daily Mail, before joining GB News as a presenter in 2021 and then moving to Talk as International Editor in 2022. In 2018, while ghostwriting Arron Banks' Brexit memoir 'The Bad Boys of Brexit', she wrote in the Sunday Times that Banks had been "shamelessly used by the Russians" and that the Kremlin had "struck gold" in identifying him as someone useful to Putin's aims, based on private documents Banks had granted her access to. When asked about these conclusions in 2025, with Banks standing as Reform's West of England mayoral candidate, she described them as "ancient history" and declared herself "fully supportive of all Reform's mayoral candidates". In January 2025, she announced she had relocated to Dubai with her children, citing the introduction of VAT on private school fees.
