Martin Daubney

Person

Martin Daubney is a GB News presenter and former Brexit Party MEP for the West Midlands, former deputy leader of the Reclaim Party, and former editor of lads mag Loaded, a role he described as making him "a skilled defender of the indefensible". In 2007 he organised a "straight pride" march in London. In 2016, he spoke at the International Conference on Men's Issues; a key gathering for men's rights activists founded by A Voice for Men, whose founder Paul Elam has repeatedly used violent language against women. Daubney defended Elam in 2015 as having "long been smeared" as one of "the internet's biggest anti-feminist bogeyman". Ofcom found GB News in breach of impartiality rules over a 2023 interview Daubney conducted with Richard Tice on immigration, concluding that Tice was not sufficiently challenged and that the pair had presented "similar views on the matters being discussed". On 2nd July 2025, while hosting on GB News, Daubney used the slur "tranny" to refer to transgender people; Ofcom declined to investigate, stating the language was "employed to provoke debate, and was likely to be in line with audience expectations for this channel and show".
