Nick Tenconi
PersonNick Tenconi is the leader of UKIP and Chief Operating Officer of Turning Point UK. He was reportedly radicalised during the Covid-19 pandemic and built his political profile through Turning Point UK before joining UKIP in early 2024, becoming its leader in February 2025. A Christian nationalist, he has described his activism as "the ninth crusade" and vowed to "shift society away from toxic subversive ideologies that lead to... homosexuality". He has proposed deploying the military to "hunt down" and deport up to 10 million people and has travelled to Calais to shine torches in the faces of asylum seekers sleeping rough. Hope Not Hate revealed a history of misogynistic social media posts from his personal training business days, including referring to women as "attitudey, rude, arrogant, vain, narcissistic, fake, disrespectful, mouthy, attention seeking little cunts." Searchlight described UKIP under his leadership as having declined from a party that "once triggered a national referendum on EU membership" to "a rump of England flags and crosses", with his street marches attracting as few as two dozen participants by May 2026.
