Legatum Limited is a Dubai-based private investment firm founded by New Zealand-born billionaire Christopher Chandler, who serves as its Chairman and founding partner. It is one of the largest shareholders in GB News alongside Paul Marshall, through the holding company All Perspectives Ltd, and co-founded the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship with Marshall. Legatum also founded the Legatum Institute in 2007 through its philanthropic arm, now rebranded as the Prosperity Institute, which played a leading role in lobbying for a "hard" Brexit. The Legatum Institute Foundation has received donations from the Charles Koch Foundation, the charitable arm of US fossil fuel giant Koch Industries. In December 2023, the Legatum Institute Foundation donated £50,000 to the New Conservatives faction co-chaired by Danny Kruger and Miriam Cates, and subsequently hired Lynton Crosby's CT Group lobbying firm.
