Nick Candy
PersonNick Candy is a billionaire property developer, a Reform donor and treasurer of Reform UK since December 2024, having previously donated £340,000 to the Conservative Party. He pledged to “secure more money for the party than any other in British political history". He brokered a meeting at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate between Nigel Farage and Elon Musk in December 2024, where Musk reportedly shared campaign strategy with Farage and discussed a potential future donation to Reform. Byline Times revealed that until January 2024, Candy held investments in ACME Capital - a California venture fund with stakes in SpaceX, Uber, Airbnb, Robinhood and OpenGov - companies whose founders collectively donated hundreds of millions to Trump's campaigns. The investment was held through an offshore entity registered in Guernsey. Democracy for Sale revealed that Candy's family office was placed in the Covid-era VIP lane for PPE contracts, though it did not receive any contracts. In February 2026, newly released Epstein files showed that Candy had dined in 2004 with Sarah Kellen, an associate of Epstein named as an unindicted co-conspirator in his 2008 plea deal, and had sought Ghislaine Maxwell's email address. There is no suggestion of wrongdoing on Candy's part. Candy organises Reform's fossil fuel fundraising drive, having targeted oil and gas donors who are "very disillusioned" with current UK energy policy.
